Hi everyone! It’s been so long since I logged into the Bell Blues site that I had to reset my password and everything, haha. This post is a long time coming – I’m really sorry for leaving you hanging at the end of the last arc. I wanted to pop in and leave the comic in a neater place, and just talk a little about what I’m up to.
I put the comic aside for a while mostly because I was busy, but after I had time to get back to it I felt like I was ready to move on to something new. I loved working on the Bell Blues, and I periodically read through it and still laugh. Someday I would really like to do more comics with Lucas, Mark, Micah and Johnnie. At some point, I definitely want to put together a nice book with some bonus material and a new arc that wraps up some loose ends and stray story threads.
The Bell Blues is a small comic, with a small audience. It was a place for me to practice my writing and storytelling and comic chops, and I honestly don’t think I would be where I am now without doing this comic. I met some really wonderful people through it, and it helped me feel like I had a place in the comics world. If you read and loved this comic, or even just checked on it now and then, thank you. I am so, so grateful.
If you follow me on social media, you’ve probably seen that I have a new webcomic! If you haven’t seen it, it’s a fantasy “diary” comic called Travelogue. It’s very leisurely paced and heavily focused on worldbuilding and relationships between characters. If you liked The Bell Blues, I think you’ll like this comic too! I’m SUPER into it!!
So while we wait, here’s a little placeholder illustration of the group some time after the last arc ended. Mostly everyone just has different hair. But they look cute, don’t they???
